ABOUT THE BUCKEYE DISTRICT
Located in the northwestern part of Franklin County in central Ohio, Buckeye District serves the suburban areas of Clintonville, Dublin, Grandview Heights, Hilliard, Upper Arlington, and Worthington, as well as parts of north Columbus. It is one of 14 districts within the Simon Kenton Council, which encompasses 23 counties in central and southern Ohio and northern Kentucky.
UNITS OF THE BUCKEYE DISTRICT
Buckeye District is comprised of over 100 Cub Scout Packs, Boy Scout Troops and Venturing Crews and it is the responsibility of the Buckeye District commissioning team are to give friendly, personal help to individual units of the district so they are successful.
DISTRICT LEADERSHIP
Buckeye District's volunteer District Committee and Commissioners provide support to units by training adult leaders, planning district activities, obtaining financial support, and by providing commissioner service. District Committee Meetings are held at 7:00 p.m. (following fellowship and dinner at 6:30 p.m.) on the fourth Thursday of each month at St. Peter's Church, 6899 Smoky Row Road. No meeting is held in July.
MEMBERSHIP FUNCTION
Membership growth occurs in five ways:
- Organizing new units
- Recruiting new members for existing units
- Guiding program transition
- Stopping dropped units
- Increasing tenure - more youth reregistered at unit charter renewal

PROGRAM FUNCTION
The program team includes Camping, Training TBD
FINANCE FUNCTION
The finance teams functions include the annual Friends of Scouting campaign, Trails End Popcorn sale as well many other smaller fundraising functions.
UNIT SERVICE FUNCTION
Unit Service includes the Unit Commissioners, Assistant District Commissioners and the District Commisioner. Their job to to be the Customer Service department for all exisiting units.
